Kim Seong-Jin is currently 30 years old as he was born on 4th December 1992. He was born in Anyang, South Korea where he was raised by his parents along with his older brother whose name is Kim Seok-Jung.
He was first fascinated about becoming a journalist but when he grew up he wanted to become an actor and even took acting lessons. He even joined Konkuk University and got a degree in Film Studies.
After graduating he joined another university in Hanyang Cyber University to get a degree in dancing and even in music. When he was walking down the street the production company approached him for modeling due to his looks.
They found out he was training for acting so they hired him to be an actor which paved him way to join the largest Korean boyband BTS.

- JIN joined BTS on 13th June 2013 as the vocalist after getting rave reviews on Idol trainee and made a debut on the album “2 Cool 4 Skool”.
- Kim became very successful for three years so he eventually released his solo single in 2016 titled “Awake” from the album Wings.
- He releases his second solo in 2018 titled Epiphany and his third solo single titled Moon in 2020.
- JIN was awarded the honor of Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture by then-South Korean president Moon Jae-in.
